If so, we would like for you to join the Junior League of Boise! We have an engaging, fun, warm and welcoming culture. We pride ourselves on training women to be effective leaders in all areas of their lives.
Here’s what you can expect when you join us!
Community Impact: The Junior League of Boise’s projects leave a lasting impact in the community. Currently, through the JLB’s School Garden project, we provide elementary students an opportunity to learn hands-on science and nutrition lessons in an outdoor setting. Studies have shown that students who participate in garden-based education programs eat more fresh healthy produce, increase test scores in science, and develop positive attitudes about environmental issues.
Training: At the JLB, we strive to ensure our members receive top-notch training to become effective volunteers, and to become civic and community leaders. Leadership trainings focus on skills that help our members excel in their personal and professional lives.
Meet Like-Minded Women: The Junior League of Boise welcomes all women who value our Mission. We are committed to an inclusive environment of diverse individuals, cultures, backgrounds, and personalities. The JLB offers monthly events for our members to meet, network, and have fun!

Ready To Join? Here’s How:
Step #1: Learn about the Junior League of Boise
Joining the Junior League of Boise (JLB) as a Provisional Member (a New Member) begins with becoming familiar with our League. Each spring and fall, the JLB offers informal “Getting to Know the JLB” Open House events that provide an opportunity for women to meet current members and learn more about our organization, benefits of membership and the expectations we have for our members.
Please note that these annual Open House events are optional but very helpful to get your questions answered. Click here for a list of our upcoming Open Houses.
We have 2 new member classes each year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall.
Step #2: Submit An Applicant Interest Form
Click Here to submit an Applicant Interest Form online.
If you’re already familiar with membership in JLB, you may submit the Applicant Interest Form without attending an event. The deadline for submitting this form is February 15, 2017 for the Spring class.
Step #3. After your Applicant Interest Form has been submitted, it will be reviewed by members of the JLB Membership Committee, and all women who meet the requirements set forth within the form will be notified and invited to attend a mandatory JLB Recruitment Orientation Session.
Invitations to attend a JLB Recruitment Orientation Sessions go out shortly after the last Open House event for the season (typically mid-August for the Fall class and mid-January for the Spring class).
Step #4. Once you attend a JLB Recruitment Orientation Session you will submit your final Membership Application.
Step #5. Once your Membership Application is approved, you can pay your dues online between xxx and xxx (for the Fall class) and xxx and xxx (for the Spring class). Provisional dues for the 2016-2017 year are $143. You will also submit additional new member paperwork as described in your Orientation session.
Step #6. Connect with your new Junior League of Boise Family!
The Junior League of Boise holds General Membership Meetings monthly. These meetings provide an opportunity for training and important information about how you can help the JLB implement its mission in our community.
