The Junior League of Boise serves as both the initiator and the coordinator of these projects, and provides start-up resources including funding and committed volunteers. It is our intent to identify and define the next signature project for the Junior League of Boise through this request for proposal.  The Junior League of Boise seeks to hear what the pressing needs are in the Boise Valley and what program may be put in place in order to address a particular need. The League brings volunteer power as well as practical experience in starting and maintaining successful nonprofit organizations and programs.  It is looking to others in the Boise Valley to bring their ideas and passion for how we can work together to build a better community.

Over its 81-year history, the Junior League of Boise has worked with the community to determine existing needs, to raise funds to meet those needs, and to design long-term projects that are financially sustainable. These projects are defined as signature projects for the League.

The Junior League of Boise has developed and created numerous signature programs and centers that are now fixtures in the Boise Valley. The League has put its commitment into action in several notable projects, including:

• Ronald McDonald House of Idaho,

• Discovery Center of Idaho,

• Art in the Schools,

• Foster Care Support Programs,

• The Bridge,

• Anne Frank Exhibit, and

• 2-1-1 Idaho Careline.

Our RFP process is intended to be easy and streamlined. We would like you to address the questions outlined in the application form and submit your proposal as a Word document or PDF to the Junior League of Boise Community Research and Project Development (CRPD) committee at:

The proposal whether mailed or emailed must be received by 5 PM (MT) Thursday, April 15, 2010.

The Junior League of Boise CRPD committee will review all proposal submission and will recommend for further consideration to the Junior League of Boise management team the top 3-5 applicants on March 26, 2010.

The CRPD committee and management team will then conduct one-on-one interviews with the top applicants March 29 – April 9, 2010.

The chosen applicant is expected to be announced on June 1, 2010.   The League will notify all applicants if a delay should arise in the announcement date.
