The Junior League of Boise, Inc. (JLB) is a women’s leadership organization started in 1928 with a rich history of improving the lives of Treasure Valley residents through volunteerism and developing women leaders.
The Junior League of Boise is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
The Junior League of Boise envisions our community as a place where women and children have the resources and support to succeed in personal, family, social, educational and/or occupational endeavors.
The Junior League of Boise currently has approximately 350 members ranging from age 21 to age 90+.
As an educational and charitable organization, the JLB’s trained members dedicate valuable time, resources and knowledge to the community through projects such as the creation of the Discovery Center of Idaho, the Ronald McDonald House, the Especially Me! Self Esteem Program for girls aged 9 to 12, to the popular Kids in the Kitchen and Touch a Truck community events, to our most recent endeavor: building gardens for schools.
